Hope is a very special girl.
She became a part of our family the night before Thanksgiving, 2000. She was somewhere between 6 months and a year old when I brought her home with me that night, shivering, terrified and cowering on the floor in the front of the minivan. I don't think she realized how lucky she was to be coming home with me that night, nor how dearly she'd be loved, but I knew, and she came home with a new name to start a new life with: Hope.
