 Puck's First Trip

transpixel
transpixel It's March in western Oregon. Meaning it's Wet with a capital W. Tired of grey, rainy, chilly weather, we decided to try out our new vehicle and take my new puppy and Hope along on a drive eastbound for 80 miles into the sun and along to The Dalles, a small town on the dry side of the Cascade Range. In summer, it's one of the hottest spots in the state, brown and desiccated, but in spring it's warm, sunny and cheerfully green. We explored an area along the Columbia River called the Discovery Center. It houses a museum, which we didn't visit (no dogs allowed inside the building). However, the area boasts many nice outdoor walking trails, which we explored. Here you see Adam, Rob, Hope and Puck posing near a view of the river, with The Dalles visible in the background. transpixel
