 Doggie Dash 2004

transpixel Here are hubby, Hope and Puck at the Doggie Dash. We always enjoy going, and we especially like finding other border collies to visit with. transpixel

transpixel Here are some of the competitive runners at the Doggie Dash. They started the course before the grand majority of the people entered, who were there more for fun than to WIN. transpixel

transpixel Another view of some of the hundreds of dogs and people who enter the annual Doggie Dash here in Portland. Even more dogs and their people come just to watch. It's an awesome display of solidarity and support by dog people in a city polarized by the "dog issue". It's the one time of year that the city's anti-dog politicians can really sit up and take note of just how many of us there are, and how powerful we can be en masse. transpixel

transpixel Here's a goofy smooth coated border collie pup (with a corgi in the background) that we saw during Portland's annual Doggie Dash, held in May of every year. I believe this event benefits the Dove Lewis emergency veterinary hospital. transpixel

transpixel Here is someone's beautiful wolfdog. We saw him at the Doggie Dash in Portland. He was one of the sweetest dogs I met there. transpixel

transpixel Here's a cute little westie (West Highland White terrier) we saw at the annual Doggie Dash in Portland. I've always wanted a westie, and this little guy makes me want one just that much more. transpixel
