Adam and Hope relax on a grassy knoll outside a historic home/museum in Cascade Locks; a small, picturesque community 42 miles east of Portland, OR, on the banks of the Columbia River in the Cascade Mountains. The town was named for the series of locks (a river elevator for ships) built in 1896 on the Columbia River.
